Gym crowded resolutioners misc8/30/2023 ![]() ![]() And hopefully no one will chastise you for daring to improve yourself. And if it’s been a long time since you’ve ever tried anything new, I encourage you to take inspiration from these Resolutioners, and get out of your comfort zone. Eleven months of the year, the gym is almost empty so empty Ive won. So please, grow the F up, and if you see someone new, be an adult and encourage them. I use a gym to strength train and cross train on a spin bike and elliptical machine. You can mitigate overcrowding with in-gym tactics, like ‘in-between exercises’ and efficient training plans, or by taking your members outside of the gym with outdoor classes. Not to mention, these quitters are what keep your gym prices so low. A crowded gym might seem like the gym owner’s dream, but it can have negative consequences for your member experience. If there was something I was going to try there but the gym was a little packed, I would stick to exercises that I know and wait to try something new for another day. So, you want to encourage people, but not if their presence somehow inconveniences you? I commented on this already, but the gym I would go to was my apt. What if the reason resolutioners quit going to the gym is because the gym is too crowded with other resolutioners so they cant even excercise,creating a loop. Shouldn’t we be supporting one another? The same people who make these complaints (even if they think they are being funny/edgy/whatever), often also post generic motivational memes. ![]() But the “you’re going to quit anyway, so quit now and get out of my way” attitude? Or the “you’re new and you don’t belong here” mindset? Or “why are all these new people at my gym and in my way” complaints? It’s all really ugly. I get that it can be frustrating to have to wait due to all the n00bs.
